We welcome financial support.

Thank you for considering a gift to the Friends of the Henderson County Public Library.  Donations are an important source of the funding we give each year to support library programs and services.  Donations to the Friends of the Library are tax-deductible under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.  Our federal tax ID number is 56-6095455.

Why Give?

Government funding pays only a portion of the Library’s operating expenses.  As a friend, your contribution helps build a strong library system that helps children develop a love of reading, provides individuals, organizations and businesses free access to vital information resources, and educates and broadens the horizons of all its patrons.

Donors wishing to purchase book and/or audiovisual titles in the form of memorials should first contact the Henderson County Public Library for approval. Learn more about memorials here.

Planned Gifts

Cash gifts are only one way to support the Friends of the Library.  Often, it is more advantageous to the donor to give appreciated assets or a gift through your estate plan.  Please contact Library Administration at 828-697-4725 to discuss alternative giving opportunities that are best suited to your personal circumstances.
